Complicity is an abstract black and white work that explores the depth of an intimate relationship between two young women, captured in a play of contrasts and nuances.

The canvas, stripped of color, focuses on the very essence of the scene: the pure emotion, connection and tenderness that unite the two figures.
The two young women emerge from the canvas through organic and fluid forms as if their individuality and their union coexisted in perfect harmony. Their faces suggest an exchanged gaze, intense and filled with tenderness. Their intertwined hands symbolize the strength and fragility of their bond.
Through his black and white abstraction, Patrick Joosten manages to capture the essence of a deep and sincere relationship, where words are useless and where everything is played out in the look, the touch and the shared emotion. The canvas invites the viewer to feel, rather than simply see, the silent beauty of this complicity.
